The Girls’ Christian Camp started off as the Bukit Bintang Girls’ School Christian Union Camp (BBGS CU Camp). It was once the annual gathering of BBGS CU girls, where the Word of God was taught by faithful preachers, both local and overseas.

When BBGS was demolished in 1999, many people thought that they saw “The End” written on the screen that showed the glorious story of how God used the camp to nurture and grow girls in their knowledge and love of Him.

But God turned our disappointment into joy. The seed multiplied and the ministry of the camp was enlarged to include girls from other schools other than BBGS.

Today, BBGS CU Camps that began in the mid 1960s have morphed into the Girls’ Christian Camps that are attended, year after year, by girls from different schools in Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley.

This all-girls camp is unique. Undistracted by the presence of boys, the camp provides ample opportunities for girls to discuss issues specific to their needs. Our goal is to nurture them into women who will honour God with their lives and impact society in a unique way that only girls and women can do.

To that end, we seek to provide Bible-based, Gospel-centred teachings to the girls each year, by inviting good and faithful preachers of God’s Word.

Of course, besides studying the Word of God together through the main sessions and workshops, the girls will also be having a lot of fun getting to know one another through games and hobby sessions. We have witnessed over the years that friendships formed during the Girls’ Christian Camp go a long way and the campers continue to encourage each other in life.

Our hope is that the girls who attend the Girls’ Christian Camp year after year, will be transformed by the Word of God and that they will continue to stand firm in the faith until our Lord Jesus comes back again.
